Vatal for coalition of pro-Kannada groups

Bangalore: Only a regional party in power can protect the interests of the local population, Vatal Nagaraj of the Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Paksha has said, calling for a coalition of pro-Kannada organisations to contest the coming Assembly elections.

Speaking to presspersons here on Thursday, he said that national parties, in the long run, fail to protect local causes and interests. The Vatal Paksha, he announced, would be releasing its manifesto on April 15. — Special Correspondent
