Belgaum
Belgaum: Due to untimely rain in March, 64 head of cattle died, 7,402 houses partially collapsed or suffered damage and standing crops in 74,810 hectares of land were damaged in seven districts of Belgaum division. Of the 64 head of cattle, 58 were killed and crops in 53,965 hectares of land were damaged in Dharwad district. According to Regional Commissioner Amita Prasad here on Friday, the maximum damage was in Gadag where 4,782 houses partially collapsed. As many as 1,090 houses were damaged in Bagalkot and 700 in Belgaum.
