KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Friday dismissed a batch of writ petitions challenging the elections held in September 23, 2007, to the director board of the Kerala State Co-operative Hospital Complex and Centre for Advanced Medical Services, which runs the Pariyaram Medical College. The petitions were dismissed by Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan. The petitions filed by M.V. Raghavan, former chairman of the society, and other UDF candidates in the election, alleged that they were prevented from voting and most of the votes cast in the elections were bogus. They alleged that the majority of the voters who had identity cards were denied their right to vote.
