BIDAR: A case has been registered against the former Janata Dal (Secular) MLA, Mallikarjun Khuba, and a tea stall owner, Bandeppa, of Manthala village in Basavakalyan taluk, on the charge of violation of code of conduct. The case was registered at Manthala police station against Mr. Khuba and Mr. Bandeppa on Thursday for violation of the Karnataka Open Places Prevention of Disfigurement Act. A press release from Superintendent of Police A. Subramanyeswara Rao on Friday said that model code of conduct was in force and Mr. Bandeppa had a poster of Mr.Khuba along with the JD(S) symbol at his stall. Similarly, a case had been registered against the president of the district unit of Bahujan Samaj Party, Parameshwara Patil and the city unit president, Zaheer Anwar.
