CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda will lay the foundation stone of a multipurpose hall and inaugurate the Indira Awasiya Parisar during his visit to the campus of Chaudhary Devi Lal University at Sirsa on Saturday. He will also launch the Digital News Ticker System established by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Vice-Chancellor K.C. Bhardwaj said here on Friday. He disclosed that the news ticker system would be integrated with the Department’s news portal, www.jansanchaar.in, and it would be possible to update it using a cell phone also. Latest local, national and international news headlines would be displayed on this system with four display terminals. Dr. Bhardwaj said the residential complex has 50 houses and its foundation stone was laid by Mr. Hooda during his last visit to the campus. He said the University was on its way to become the No. 1 educational institute of the State. Qualified and experienced teaching staff had been appointed last year and non-teaching staff would be added this year.
