DAVANGERE: Terror suspects Mohammed Ghouse alias Riyazuddin Nasir and Asadulla were granted bail by the JMFC, Honnali, on Friday. The court granted bail as neither the police nor the Corps of Detectives had filed the charge sheet against the two even after 90 days of the arrest. Judicial Officer, Jinarlkar, made it clear that this bail was concerned only with regard to their arrest on the charges of motorcycle theft and provocative books and other reading materials that they had with them at the time of the arrest. Many advocates and people who had assembled at the court hall expressed their anguish over the police and as well as the CoD for not filing the charge sheet and submitting its report to the court. They questioned why either the CoD or the police had not framed the charge sheet even after 90 days of the arrest of the suspects. The two had to execute Rs. 50,000 bond each to get bail and the judge had given them six days time to get the bond. The two were brought to the court by the Honnali police under tight security and later they were again taken to prison at Hindalga.
