Delhi gets 7 new judges
NEW DELHI: Seven new judges of the Delhi High Court were sworn in on Friday, taking the total strength to 40. Those administered the oath of office included five lawyers from the Bar while two were trial court judges.
Acting Chief Justice (Designate) Justice T. S. Thakur administered the oath of office to the new judges. Among the lawyers, J. R. Midha, V. K. Shali, Rajiv Shahi Endlaw, Manmohan Singh and Rajiv Shakdher were elevated to the Bench.
M. C. Garg and Sunil Gaur were the trial court judges who took the oath of office.
The new Chief Justice for the court is still to be appointed by the President. -- PTI
