SBT awards for toppers

Thriuvananthapuram: The State Bank of India has launched a scheme ‘SBI Talent Awards’ to encourage the toppers in the streams of science, arts and commerce in 10,000 rural higher secondary schools. Separate awards will be given to rank-holders of the State Board, ICSE and CBSE streams.

Each student will receive a certificate of excellence and a cash prize of Rs.1,001.

The bank will also sanction them in principle an education loan to pursue higher education. The scheme is expected to benefit one lakh students.
