Kidnapped man rescued within hours
HYDERABAD: Anguished over his sister marrying her lover against the wishes of parents, a youngster kidnapped one of her friends only to land behind the bars at Balanagar on Friday.
The Balanagar police arrested Randhir Reddy, who returned days ago from America, and his associates, Shankar Reddy, Raji Reddy and Srinivas, on charge of kidnapping a vehicle workshop owner Swami. Ranadhir Reddy’s sister Ramya studying B.Ed. in a private college in Hyderabad was in love with one Sravan Kumar. On Thursday, she married Kumar . On learning this, Randhir Reddy along with his friends kidnapped Swamy his friend Chandrashekar alerted the police. The Medchal police intercepted the car near Kompally and rescued Swami.
