Under-trial escapes from police custody

NEW DELHI: An under-trial managed to give the police the slip while being taken back from a court after a hearing on Friday.

According to the police, Sunil of Mongolpuri was brought to Delhi by the Meerut police in connection with the hearing of a case in a Patiala House court here. When he was being taken back, he managed to break free from the accompanying officials near the Karkardooma court complex and ran away.
