Belgaum: The Nandgad police have seized three vehicles allegedly used by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for electioneering in Khanapur Assembly Constituency on Friday. Confirming the reports, a staff in the police station said three jeeps sporting BJP flags were seized and they were used for electioneering without proper documents or permission from the Election Officers concerned, which violated model code of conduct. All the three jeeps were seized and later handed over to the Taluk Election Officer. This is the first case of violation of model code of conduct that has come to light in the district.
