THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has warned that it will collect fine also from those who failed to remit the cess imposed by it under the Kerala Road Safety Authority Act. The rates of cess are Rs.250 for heavy motor vehicles, Rs.150 for medium motor vehicles, Rs.100 for light motor vehicles and Rs.50 for two wheelers. It can be paid along with the quarterly or half yearly vehicle tax. Those who have paid one time vehicle tax should pay the cess in any regional or sub regional transport office or Jana Sevana Kendra before December 26, 2008. — Special Correspondent
