HYDERABAD: Mitsubishi will launch its premium sports utility vehicle (SUV), Outlander, towards the end of this year. It will consider launching a CNG version in its Cedia variant and is scouting for the right technology, while an LPG version in this variant is available in the market. Talking to press persons here on Saturday, Vice-President and Business Head of Chennai car plant of Hindustan Motors, Y. V. S. Vijaya Kumar, said the company had no plans to join the race of launching a small car in at least about 3-5 years. The plan was being optimised to roll-out 24,000 units from its assembly line. The Chennai plant was manufacturing Lancer, Pajero, Cedia and completely-built units (CBU) of the high-end Montero was being imported directly from Japan. Mr. Kumar inaugurated the company’s second showroom, Raima Motors, in Hyderabad and 43rd across the country. The dealer network would be expanded to 50 by the year-end.
