KOCHI: M.M. Pradeep scored a fine half century (58 off 35 balls, 2 x 6, 7 x 4) as host Muthoot ECC ‘A’, Ernakulam, defeated Cordiant Sports Foundation by seven wickets and won the second Muthoot Pappachan Foundation all-Kerala Twenty20 cricket tournament at the BPCL Kochi Refinery Ground, Ambalamugal, on Saturday. This is Muthoot ECC’s first triumph in the Twenty20 format. K.P Satish, the Ernakulam District Cricket Association President, gave away the prizes. The scores: Cordiant Sports Foundation, Ernakulam 100 in 15.4 overs (Prajeesh 36, Anandakuttan two for 17, Ajay Jayakumar two for 18, K.A. Anish two for 14, Abdul Samath two for 19, Valeed two for 16) lost to Muthoot ECC ‘A’, Ernakulam 103 for three in 17 overs (M.M. Pradeep 58, C.P. Shahid two for 13). Special prizes: M.M. Pradeep (Muthoot ECC, man of the final), Vijesh (Sharons CC, best T20 innings), V.S.Shiju (Globstar Telecom, best allrounder), Anandakuttan (Muthoot ECC, best bowler), Sambasiva Sharma (Cordiant Sports Foundation, player of the tournament). — Principal Correspondent
