3 youths drown in tank

PUDUKOTTAI: Three youths drowned in a tank at Narthamalai near Keeranur on Friday.

The police said they had gone to take a bath.

One of them slipped into the tank. The others who rushed to his rescue, also drowned.

The police gave the names of the dead as Jerald Thomson (16) of Karambakudi, Arunkumar (16) and Arun (16) both of Pudukottai.

The Keeranur police have registered a case. — Staff Reporter
