PUDUCHERRY: Here is an opportunity for folk artists to travel in the Red Ribbon Express and create awareness of HIV/AIDS prevention in villages.

Nehru Yuva Kendra-Puducherry has invited applications from artists to be part of the programme.

The Red Ribbon Express would be in Puducherry in June. Cultural events, awareness programmes and competitions, including a quiz contest, have been planned.Nehru Yuva Kendra has invited artistes performing folk art forms such as puppetry, peacock dance and oyilattam to be part of the Red Ribbon Express campaign. The team would receive an honorarium of Rs.4,000 for four programmes a day. Each team would be allowed to perform for a week to 10 days.
