Ludhiana: A boy was killed and 15 others injured here on Sunday during a function when the canopy of a tent collapsed. The boy was killed when the canopy of a tent put up to celebrate the Navratra festival at the residence of estate agent Darshan Lal Baweja collapsed in Shivpuri locality, police said. About 500 girls and boys, all under 14 years of age, were gathered there for taking prasad and ‘dakshna’. The injured were admitted to the CMC hospital. Police registered a case against Baweja.
