BIDAR: Members of the Gonda community have urged the Centre to pass a Bill in the coming Parliament session to accord them the same status as that of the Kuruba community. Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, zilla panchayat member Amruth Chimkhod said that a resolution was passed recognising Gondas along with Kurubas in the State when Mr. Siddaramaiah was Deputy Chief Minister. To press the demand, members of the community would organise a public meeting at 5 p.m. on April 19.
