Coimbatore: District Collector V. Palanikumar has announced that those having unresolved grievances with Government departments could send in their petitions to the Petitions Committee of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. The panel is scheduled to hold its sitting in Coimbatore very shortly. Hence, the public could prepare petitions in Tamil with five copies and send it to the Chairman, Petitions Committee, Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, Fort St George, Chennai 600 009 on or before April 28. The petitions should be of public interest. Petitions should not be relating to individual grievances, issues pending before courts, petitions seeking employment and patta, old age pension, seeking bank loan or advances for starting business. Petitions should not be from government servants relating to transfers or any other grievance. Petitions falling within the powers of the panel would be taken up for review during the visit of the panel and the officer concerned would be asked to explain the reasons for the grievance remaining unresolved. District Collectorate would be individually intimating the petitioner regarding the date and venue where the panel would hold its sitting, Mr.Palanikumar said in a release.
