MLA, officials locked up in panchayat building

Rajahmundry: Prattipadu MLA Varupula Subba Rao on Sunday had a jolt when the farmers from Yerravaram village in Yeleswaram mandal locked him up and some officials in the village panchayat room for more than an hour.

During Praja Patham on Sunday, farmers in large numbers turned up at the village panchayat building.

Power for irrigation

They asked the MLA about the power for irrigation in their village.

Meanwhile, women rushed to the dais and asked the MLA and some officials to go inside the building and locked it up for more than an hour.
