Chirag United beats Vasco

Pune: Riding on a brace by captain Theodore Sunday Wrobeh, Chirag United of Kolkata prevailed over Vasco Sports Club, Goa, 3-2 in its last encounter to top Group ‘A’ in the I-League second division football here on Sunday.

The two teams have already qualified for the final round to be played in Guwahati from April 18.

Wrobeh scored in the 42nd and 86th minutes, while teammate Shankar Oraon found the target in the 43rd minute.

George Sequira (31) and Joy Ferrao (59) scored for Vasco. — PTI
