Clearance for pickle firm

KOCHI: A letter from the District Food Inspector, Ernakulam has certified that Chinni Pickles, product of CavinKare Pvt. Ltd, as not adulterated. At a press meet here on Friday, its Executive Director, Ramesh Vishwanathan, said that the company’s sales were affected when a media report hinted at presence of drugs in pickle sachets being sold in outlets near schools in the district. He said retailers and supermarkets had removed the product from shelves after the report. Samples from the company were then collected by the Food Inspector.
