Teacher training programme

Vidya Vanam, an education initiative for tribal children in and around Anaikkatti, in association with ‘Aim for Seva,’ a voluntary organisation, will organise a training workshop for teachers at the Arsha Vidya Gurukulam, Anaikatti, from April 17 to 24. The topics to be covered include ‘drama in the classroom,’ ‘classroom management - preparation to story telling,’ ‘new approaches to teaching mathematics,’ ‘laboratory experiences for primary classes,’ ‘people knowledge - how to integrate in the school curriculum,’ ‘how children learn - language acquisition,’ and ‘teaching children with disabilities.’
