Insurance employees’ stir

Coimbatore: As per the call given by the Joint Action Committee of the Public Sector General Insurance Employees Association, the insurance employees staged a walkout on Friday.

The functionaries of the JAC, K.S. Venkatasubramanian, S.V. Shankar and B. Venkatasubramanian, addressed the employees.

The demands included conduct of promotional exercise that had not taken place for the last four years, opposing the retrograde changes in promotion policy, improvement in staff welfare measures and restoration of compassionate ground appointments.
