Kiara wins main event

Mumbai: Kiara (C. Rajendra up) won the Gool S. Poonawalla Million, the main event of Sunday’s races here. The winner is owned by Ms. Christaline Glenn & Mr. Mehernosh Deboo representing Aquarius Maritime Pvt. Ltd and Mr. Yohann Shroff. Pesi Shroff trains the winner.

There was a mishap in the second race when Premier Diva (N. Alam up), who was running in front near the 400m, fractured her pelvic and had a fall resulting in the fall of Uruj (T.S. Jodha astride) and Benfica (Aadesh Kumar up). Jockey Aadesh Kumar escaped unhurt but T.S. Jodha and N. Alam were shifted to the hospital for further treatment.
