Pakistan beats Bangladesh

LAHORE: Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 23 runs in a high scoring third one-day international at the Gaddafi stadium on Sunday.

Chasing 309 for victory, Bangladesh made a game chase but fell short. Opener Tamim Iqbal made 63 while Sakib-Al-Hasan scored 75.

Earlier, Pakistan openers Salman Butt (132) and Kamran Akmal (100) punished a hapless Bangladesh attack and helped it reach 308 for eight.
