Railway pair wins

ARUVANKADU: The Railway duo of A.N. Banerjee and Gopinath Manna won the Subhash Agarwala memorial Trophy, for the National selected pairs’ event, in the 39th summer National bridge championships which concluded on Sunday.

The Railway pair, the overnight leader, romped home by a huge margin of 122 VPs, the final score reading a stunning 554 VPs. Pranab Bardhan and S.N. De Sarkar finished second with 432 VPs. K. Vijaykumar and K. Divakar Reddy after leading for seven rounds finished third with 419 VPs.
