A new ray of hope

Whitefield Paper Mills Ltd. is being promoted by Sri T.Srinivasa Rao and his associates with the main objective to manufacture Coated, Writing and Printing Varieties of Paper etc., in Andhra Pradesh with a capacity of 2.00 lacs TPA at an estimated cost of Rs.1200 Cr.

The Company has entered in to MoU with Government of Andhra Pradesh on 27th March’ 2006. Already 271.35 acres of land is taken possession by the company in the first phase for Plant and Processing in Bayyavaram, hamlet of Tadipudi, Kovvur mandal in West Godavari district, AP. State high way and road network are close to the site.

The GoAP has consented to grant all subsidies, incentives to the proposed paper mill. With all necessary clearances from the Central Government, the site is well connected with all infrastructure facilities required for paper industry.

The project is scheduled to be set up in about 30 months.

The Company is utilizing the services of M/s. SPB Projects and Consultancy Limited, a leading consultancy company in paper industry in India.

The Company has entered MoU in to a long-term agreement with one of the leading Pulp and Paper suppliers in the world M/s. Elof Hansson Group, Sweden for supply of about 2,20,000 MTA of wood pulp and marketing for 60 percent of the Paper produced through its well-established network all over the world. M/s. Elof Hansson Group is in existence for more than 100 years with a business volume more than US$700 million.

It is estimated that this industry will generate direct employment for about 1,000 persons and indirect employment to about 10,000 persons. Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh laid foundation stone for this mega Project on 31st May’ 2006

The site has various advantages such as availability of infrastructure facilities like Godavari River water, raw material, transport facilities, nearness to Kakinada Port, availability of skilled and un-skilled personnel at affordable cost, effluent disposal facility etc.,
