A.P. Congress chief reaches out to CPI(M)
HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president D. Srinivas reached out to Communist Party of India (Marxist) leaders in an attempt to break the thaw in their relations and restore the ties the two parties had during the elections.
Mr. Srinivas drove over to M.B. Bhavan, the CPI (M) State headquarters, here on Monday and had a meeting with State secretary B. V. Raghavulu for nearly 30 minutes.
Significance of meeting
Monday’s meeting assumes significance in the light of Mr. Raghavulu’s recent call to “isolate” Congress and ensure its defeat for adopting “anti-poor” policies.
