KOCHI: M. Ramachandran, Secretary, Union Ministry for Urban Development, discussed the details of the proposed Kochi Metro Rail with District Collector A.P.M. Mohammed Hanish here on Monday. The meeting, which went on for nearly 30 minutes, was held at the Cochin International Airport. Mini Antony, secretary, Kochi Corporation, was also present. The traders along M.G. Road, under the banner of Cochin Metro Action Council, protested and stopped the demarcation work the on ground that the project would hit their business during the implementation phase. Twenty-two stations in the 25.3-km-long stretch between Aluva and Pettah had been demarcated by laying the boundary stones. Two stations in M.G.
