To man accused of throwing acid at two girls while they were sleeping NEW DELHI: A man accused of throwing acid at two young girls while they were asleep has been refused bail by a court here. Additional Sessions Judge V. K. Bansal denied bail to Faiz Alam, who was arrested at Amar Colony in South Delhi on March 22. ‘No evidence’Earlier, arguing before the court, defence counsel had claimed that there was no evidence against the accused. He also told the court that the victims had not named him in their complaint. They had just told the court that they were sleeping and somebody poured acid on them, counsel argued. However, the prosecution counsel argued that the accused should not be granted bail considering the gravity of the offence. The police have booked Faiz on charges of attempt to murder, criminal conspiracy and trespass. Apart from Faiz, the police had also arrested a woman, Simran Kaur. The woman, however, has been granted interim bail by another court.
