Held for murder
NEW DELHI: Two young residents of Loni in U.P. have been arrested in connection with a murder-cum-robbery case. According to the police, Kuldeep and his friends were on their way to Shahdara railway station on April 4 when four persons intercepted them. The accused asked them at knife-point to hand over their belongings. When Kuldeep resisted, one of the accused allegedly stabbed him in the stomach and chest. The assailants made off with Kuldeep’s mobile and some cash. The victim was declared brought dead at Hedgewar Hospital in Karkardooma. During investigation, a police team learnt that a gang from Loni was involved in some recent robbery cases. Acting on a tip-off, the team laid a trap and arrested Shehjad and Farid.
