Stolen vehicles recovered, two held

TENALI (GUNTUR DT.): The Guntur district police have arrested two persons on the charge of indulging in theft of two wheelers in six districts of Andhra Pradesh and recovered 21 vehicles.
At a press conference here on Monday, Superintendent of Police Mahesh Chandra Laddha introduced Gade Sivannarayana alias Siva, 29, of Phanidaram village and Dappili Veera Reddy, 26, of Piduguralla as the accused and said that Tenali police with excellent work successfully detected 37 motorcycle offences of Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore, Nizamabad districts including Vijayawada and Hyderabad cities.
From Guntur district 17 motorcycles were stolen, 13 from Prakasam, 1 from Nellore, 1 from Nizamabad, 1 from Vijayawada city, and 4 from Hyderabad city.
From among these offences 21 motorcycles were recovered and the remaining were yet to be recovered, he added. The worth of the recovered property was about Rs.15 lakhs. Both accused confessed to about 37 offences committed by them.
