Excellent career choice

The thirst of modern youth in India, especially in Tamil Nadu, for studies with job opportunities is best quenched by the Cape Institute of Technology, (CIT).

This was established in the year 2001 at Levengipuram, 15 Kms from Kanyakumari and 19 Kms from Nagercoil, under the patronage of Sri Vinayaka Educational Trust, and the Chairmanship of Er.I. Krishnapillai with the sole aim of catering to the needs of the rural youth.

Cape Institute of Technology is recognized as one of the quality Institutions by ISO:9001-2000 and is approved by the AICTE, New Delhi.

It is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai which is now bifurcated to Anna University Tirunelveli. CIT offers the following courses :

•B.E Computer Science and Engineering

•B.E Electronics and Communication Engineering

•B.E Electrical and Electronics Engineering

•B.Tech Information Technology

•B.E Mechanical Engineering

The students have shown astounding results over the years from inception.

Recently, CIT bagged the championship in the ‘empower IT 2008’ organised by the Elcot & the Nascom in which 72 colleges participated with students participation numbering 8320; out of which the contestants were 2500. And CITcame out with flying colours.

In all these years, various IT companies like the HCL, Wipro, Reliance, Infosys, TCS, CTS, Sutherland, Everonn etc. have selected a good number of our students for placements with lucrative salaries. In the current academic year 45 students have been selected for placement by these companies.

In order to get the students prepared in putting an excellent performance, the Institution arranges Career Development Programmes & Seminars regularly. Generally, for all the students, the Institution offers courses on Personality Development to train them in various areas like Group Discussions, communication skills, Risk management and Time management. The credit goes undoubtedly to the total dedication of the staff and the full involvement of the students.

The availability of the Infrastructure for the courses is a powerful factor for attracting students to perform well under any circumstance.

The Institution has well equipped laboratories and a great library with books on various subjects. Hostel facilities for male students are provided.

Fifteen buses are plying from all places of Kanyakumari and Tirunelveli Districts. It is heartening to note that the students utilize these facilities with avid interest.

The ultimate goal of our institution is to excavate the studious scholars, nurturing them with an aim of highlighting the inborn talents and embedded skills in young men and women and raise their standards to perfect professional and brand them ‘CAPE’.
