Convocation of Alpha College held

CHENNAI: Nearly 270 students received their degree certificates at the ninth convocation ceremony of Alpha Arts and Science College, Porur, held recently.

Eight university rank holders were honoured with medals and cash awards during the event.

In his convocation address, former director of the Jamshedpur-based XLRI Casimir Raj advised the students to lead a life with human values and ethics to attain success.

Arundhati Ramanathan was awarded a gold medal and cash prize of Rs.5,000 under the “Best outgoing Student” category. Chairperson of Alpha Group of Institutions Grace George and college principal Celestina Jayasingh participated, a release said.
