Six-week motor driving course for youth

Correspondent

KORAPUT: Rama Chandra Khora , a youth from naxal-infested Kalimela village in Malkangiri district, had lost all his hopes to go for higher studies or of getting a job. He could not get through the HSC board examination despite repeated attempts.

Soon he had to accept his father’s call to help him in the tiny bit of land. But fresh hopes have begun to germinate for him while attending the motor driving course being organized by 127 BN, CRPF, at Kolab Nagar in Koraput district beginning on Tuesday.

Tareswar Majhi from Chitrakonda is one more name to add to the list of 20 youths selected from Chitrakonda, Kalimela , MV-79, Motu in Malkangiri district and Padwa, Bandhugaon and Kolab Nagar camp areas of CRPF for receiving such training, M.J.Vijay, Commanding Officer at Kolab Nagar, said.

The six-week course was organized under the CRPF Civic Action Programme.

The participants would be given a stipend, Y. K. Rajput, Assistant Commandant, said.
