Tuticorin: All the 325 mechanised boats in the district kept away from fishing activities, as the 45-day annual trawling ban imposed by the State Government came into force on Tuesday. Official sources said that the ban was imposed to augment the marine resources along the State’s coastline since the fish species breed this period of the year.
