Free Tamil shorthand course

Chennai: The Stenographers’ Guild will offer free Tamil shorthand course to 145 students as a tribute to the inventor of Tamil shorthand M.Srinivasa Rao. Guild president S. V. Ramaswamy announced this at a programme to mark the 145th birth anniversary celebration of Srinivasa Rao recently.

At the function, Ward 127 councillor J. Karunanidhi distributed free shorthand books to candidates. Former Director-General of Police P. Rajendran and Tamil Maiyam founder Jegath Gasper Raj participated, according to a release.
