KANNUR: A national seminar on land use planning will be organised in Thiruvananthapuram under the auspices of the Kerala State Land Use Board on April 28 and 29. Those interested in taking part, including people’s representatives and representatives of voluntary organisations, could register their names online on www.kslub.com; by email on landuseboard@yahoo.com or by post. The seminar to be held at the Kanakakunnu Palace would be inaugurated by Governor R.L. Bhatia. Remote sensing, land data, global positioning system, geo-special technology and land development planning would the areas to be focussed at the seminar. Experts from the Indian Space Research Organisation, National Bureau of Soil Survey and Anna University would present papers.— Staff Reporter
