CHANDIGARH: Haryana Irrigation Minister Ajay Singh Yadav said here on Tuesday that there were six discrepancies in the Yamuna Accord-1994 which was signed by the then Haryana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal and four other riparian States. Addressing the media after a meeting of a Haryana Vidhan Sabha committee headed by Speaker Raghuvir Singh Kadian, Mr. Yadav asserted that as per the Accord , Haryana was “given 20 per cent less water”. He said the committee had looked into the terms and references of the Accord and also reviewed the document signed by Mr. Bhajan Lal in 1994 for the Renuka and Kishau dams. He said it was unfortunate that the interest of the State had been jeopardised by giving Haryana’s share to Rajasthan and Delhi.
