Sailing expedition

An eight-member team of the Eastern Naval Command was flagged off on a sailing expedition from the naval jetty at INS Circars on Tuesday by Vice-Admiral Raman Prem Suthan, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command. The expedition to Chennai and back, covering a total distance of 1,170 km, is being undertaken by a team comprising two J-24 yachts with four crew members each, helmed by Captain D. Sahu and Lieutenant Commander R. Jayakumar.
