CHENNAI: P. Lokesh (SBOA) and former State champion M.R. Sangeetha won the titles in the men’s and women’s categories respectively in the Chennai District chess championship which concluded on Monday. Lokesh was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1,000 and the A.N. Parasuram Memorial Rolling Trophy, while Sangeetha was richer by Rs. 600. Final round results: Men: N.R. Abhinav (5) lost to P. Lokesh (7); J. Arun (5.5) bt G. Ravindran (4.5); P. Ganesh (5) drew with Anana Sivasankar (5); G. Akash (4) lost to D.S. Shashaank (5.5); G. Jaswant (5) bt Siddarth (4). Women: M.R. Sangeetha (4.5) drew with C.H. Savetha (3.5); Michelle Catherina (3.5) drew with Alagu Sala (3.5); G. Uma Bharathi (2) lost to J.G. Nivedhitha (3.5); P. Balakannamma (3) bt R. Abirami (2); G.
