Student commits suicide

NEW DELHI: Apparently depressed over not being able to study in the school of his choice, a Class IX student allegedly committed suicide in West Vinod Nagar here on Monday. Yogendra Kumar, son of an MTNL employee, hanged himself in his house in the evening. Enquiries from his parents revealed that Yogendra was a bright student and wanted to study in a better school, but the family’s financial condition did not permit it.

Inquest proceedings have been initiated by the police.
