PUDUCHERRY: A motorcycle-borne gang on Wednesday robbed Rs 3.5 lakh from the members of a women self-help group (SHG) at Thattanchavady. According to the Dhanvanthri Nagar police, the gang followed the SHG members from an ATM from where they withdrew the money. The SHG members, on their way to Kurumampet, stopped their two-wheeler at Thattanchavady for tea. The gang broke the side box of their two-wheeler in which the money was kept and decamped with the sum.
