New High Court judges appointed

NEW DELHI: President Pratibha Patil has appointed Ashok Pitamber Bhangale, Anand Vasant Nirgude, Rajiv Yadunath Ganoo, Nandkishor Digambar Deshpande, Rekha Prakash Sondur Baldota, Kailaschand Uttamchand Chandiwal, Santosh Champalal Bora and Ashutosh Arvind Kumbhakoni as Additional Judges of the Bombay High Court, in the same order of seniority, for a period of two years.

Mavulli Cholakkode Hari Rani has been appointed as an Additional Judge of the Kerala High Court and Meenakshi Sundaram Sathyanarayanan as an Additional Judge of the Madras High Court for a period of two years.

The President has also ordered the transfer of Justice Ram Bhawan Misra, Judge, Gauhati High Court, as Judge, Himachal Pradesh High Court, and Justice Pradeepkumar Bhadrayulal Majumdar, Judge, Rajasthan High Court, as Judge, Bombay High Court.

These appointments will come into effect from the dates they assume charge of their respective offices.
