India thrashes Tajikistan

NEW DELHI: The Indian boys beat Tajikistan 3-0 in their group ‘A’ league match of the Asia-Oceania World under-14 tennis championship at Shenzen, China, on Wednesday.

The top-seeded India will take on Uzbekistan in the quarterfinals for a berth in the World Group final to be held in the Czech Republic.

The results: India bt Tajikistan 3-0 (Ramkumar Ramanathan bt Abdurasai Nazirov 6-0, 6-0; Ronit Bisht bt Bakhodur Faridun 6-0, 6-0; Ronit Bisht & Digvijay Singh Mehta bt Abdurasai Nazirov & Bakhodur Faridun 6-0, 6-0).
