Sanjeev strikes winner

NEW DELHI: Sanjeev Bhalla struck the match-winner as defending champion Food Corporation of India (FCI), North Zone, scored a 2-1 victory over Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) in the DSA institutional football league at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Wednesday.

Manish put FCI ahead in the 13th minute and Sanjeev clinched the match-winner in the 48th minute, a minute after Chander Mohan had equalised for ESIC.

In another match, Delhi Audit defeated Oriental Bank of Commerce 3-0 thanks to goals by Subhash Negi, Sameer Jung and Hitender Rawat. Amit Rawat struck twice as FCI, Headquarters, got past Reserve Bank of India 2-0.
