TNSCA anniversary celebration

CHENNAI: The 61st anniversary of the Tamil Nadu State Chess Association will be celebrated on April 26 at the Hall of Chess in the Nehru Stadium here.

Grandmasters K. Sasikiran and R.B. Ramesh, International Masters V. Saravanan and B. Adhiban and a few others will be playing lead roles in the four-hour programme from 2 p.m.

The programme includes a tactical ability contest for players of all levels (cash prizes to be given), a chess lecture by a Grandmaster and three different simultaneous displays by the IMs and GMs. — Special Correspondent
