Manipal Media Students’ Convention from Friday

Manipal: The students of Manipal Institute of Communication will be organise the Manipal Media Students’ Convention - 2008 (MMSC-08) here on April 18 and 19.

A press release issued here on Wednesday said that MMSC is an event aimed at bringing together media professionals and students from different parts of the nation on one platform.

The theme of the convention which is being held for the first time in Manipal, is “Communication through World Wide Web”. The convention will include workshops, discussions, conferences, open talks, and paper presentations.

A “Bloggers’ Meet” will also be held as part of the event.

Bloggers from Manipal will meet to discuss various aspects of blogging including content and design.

Regional Director of Doordarshan Mukesh Sharma, cmmunication consultant and columnist Peter Griffin, writer and literary critic Chandrahas Choudhury, journalist and blogger Annie Zaidi and other experts will participate in the convention.
