Woman assaulted in moving vehicle

NEW DELHI: A 35-year-old woman was allegedly abducted by four men at Seelampur here on Wednesday and criminally assaulted in a moving vehicle. The victim has been admitted to Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital.

A resident of Loni in neighbouring Ghaziabad, the woman was abducted from Seelampur area in a Maruti van around 8-30 p.m. The culprits criminally assaulted the victim as they drove around the trans-Yamuna area. They dumped her at Seemapuri around 9-45 p.m. A passer-by spotted her and informed the police. The woman was admitted to the hospital. Preliminary investigations revealed that one of the miscreants was known to the victim. The police have launched a hunt for the four culprits.
